2 Days at Ao Manao Beach

The school where i am presently employed at annually takes first year university students to English camp that mostly runs for three days. In the last last four years, the school held all the camps at the beach. Hua Hin and Cha-am are two of the common choices because of them being touristy where students will be able to speak English to backpackers and other tourists from different countries.
Anyhow, last summer the school chose Ao Manao Beach in Prachuap Khiri Khan. I missed the first day because of some very important thing that needed to be handled. I took the trip alone the next day and arrived at the beach with no problems at all. It took me about 7 or so hours by bus.
The camp was inside the Thai Air Force base and i saw some of them patrolling the long beach from time to time. Honestly, I felt a bit safer. There were also couple of restaurants and souvenir shops in front of the beach, just across the road. I found the prices a bit expensive but i was not surprised.

While having dinner, some people told us to wake up early in the morning to see the amazing sunrise. I decided to really wake up early and fought the hangover. When I woke up in a cool and hazy morning, I saw from afar just behind the island, there hid the sun ready to light the entire place. It was fascinating to see the slowly rising of the sun. I felt happy. I felt peace.

PS: The first two photos were also used on my other blog My Shutter and Me
